Those eyes: deep brown centers
Beautiful flecks of yellow gold
Perfectly rimmed along the outer edges;
perfect - just like a sunflower she was
She exuded sunshine. It beamed from her eyes
A white light shining from her smiling
Flowing from the top of head like a waterfall;
Her hair spun with waves of gold
It poured down, entangled in her grounded roots
She was strong. Stood tall.
Legs long and sturdy to hold her up, growing toward the sun
Seeds of faith planted in her heart
Protecting her from rainy days and stormy nights.
She was glorious.
A beautiful sunflower radiating positivity
Planted firm in morals with dignity
She was a guiding light for all who seeked
Resilient and Reliable.
I will always have a soft spot in my heart for sunflowers;
more than just a rare flower,
an Earthbound angel, she was my sun
